Prep&Plate Volume 2

Quick and Easy: Falafel Waffles for a Twist on Breakfast

Welcome back to our "Prep&Plate" series! We're here today to shake up your morning routine with a unique and hearty breakfast that's also quick and easy to prepare - Falafel Waffles.

Before you scratch your head wondering if falafel and breakfast belong in the same sentence, let us assure you that once you try this recipe, your mornings will never be the same.

Here's what you'll need:

- 4 pieces of Dalal's Falafel from Infused Mediterranean Foods

- Your favorite waffle toppings, we recommend Greek yogurt, chopped tomatoes, cucumbers, and a sprinkle of za'atar (za'atar is generally a combination of dried oregano, thyme, and/or marjoram (woodsy and floral), with sumac (tangy and acidic) and toasted sesame seeds (nutty and rich, and can be bought at many grocery stores or easily found online)

To start, preheat your waffle iron and spray it with a bit of non-stick cooking spray. Warm up your Dalal's Falafel according to the package instructions. Once warmed, gently flatten the falafel with the back of a spoon to make it thin enough to fit in the waffle iron but thick enough to hold together.

Place the flattened falafel in the preheated waffle iron and close the lid. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the falafel is golden brown and crispy. Repeat with the remaining falafel.

Now, it's time for the fun part - dressing your falafel waffles. Start with a dollop of Greek yogurt as a creamy base, then add some freshness with chopped tomatoes and cucumbers. Finish it off with a sprinkle of za'atar for a hint of Middle Eastern flavor. Feel free to get creative with your toppings - the possibilities are endless!

These Falafel Waffles are a great way to start your day with a healthy and satisfying meal. Plus, they're a fun way to use our Dalal's Falafel in a new and unexpected way.

We hope you enjoy trying out this unique breakfast dish. Don't forget to share your creations with us on social media @InfusedMediterraneanFoods. Stay tuned for our next "Prep&Plate" post, where we'll continue to inspire you with creative ways to use our products.
